How Much Should a Gym Membership Cost?
When people consider joining a fitness program, one of the first questions that often comes up is simple:
How much does it cost?
It’s a fair question. But without context, it’s rarely the right one.
At Golden Hour CrossFit, we frequently meet individuals with very different needs. Some tell us they need close support and accountability. “ I need someone who stands next to me. Like a coach or supervisor.” Others prefer working independently and believe access to gym equipment, a sauna, and a few group classes is all they need. Some follow structured app based programs. And that’s completely valid. Everyone is different.
Each person comes from a unique background, life stage, and physical condition. Goals differ. Time constraints differ. Expectations differ. And so should the path to improvement.
What unites everyone, however, is this:
When we invest our time and money in something, we hope it will bring the results we are looking for.
That’s why at Golden Hour, we don’t publish our pricing on the website.
Not because we want to hide them, but because we believe that a number on its own doesn’t provide any real insight. A gym membership that costs €39 per month might seem affordable, but if it leads to inconsistent use, no or poor guidance and no results, then the real cost is time lost and motivation drained.
Why We Start With a Conversation
We offer a wide range of training approaches. From small group coaching to highly personalized programs. But before suggesting anything, we take time to understand who you are and what you need.
That’s why we begin with a No Sweat Intro. A free consultation where we sit down, talk about your goals, your challenges, your current habits, and the kind of support you’re looking for.
We ask questions like:
– What’s worked for you in the past?
– What has felt overwhelming or unsustainable?
– What would long-term success look like?
And most importantley - How can we help?
This allows us to recommend the right service, the right plan, and determine whether we are the right fit for you at all. Recollect all the times you've purchased something, but have not used it ever? Has this also been true for fitness programs and gym memberships?
There have been times when we’ve said, honestly:
“You may get better results right now with another approach or trainer.”
And we mean that.
Just as often, people leave the consultation with clarity, direction, and the feeling that someone finally sees the full picture — not just their gym habits, but their health as a whole.
The Real Question to Ask
So instead of asking “What does it cost?”, we invite you to consider:
– What do I want to achieve?
– What kind of support do I need to stay consistent?
– Am I investing in a solution or just access?
Our programs are not designed to be the cheapest on the market.
They are designed to provide structure, expert coaching, measurable progress, and long-term results — for people who are serious about making a change.
If that sounds like what you’re looking for, we’re here to help you take the first step.
